Apprenticeship as an agent for freight forwarding and logistics services

CGC is a very young, dynamic and highly innovative medium-sized logistics company with a focus on the aviation, marine and time-sensitive sectors, with four own branches in Germany and a strong global logistics network with a global 24-hour/365-day service. As one of few family-run forwarding companies, CGC holds the IATA license and FIATA registration.

Your Role

The shipping, reception, forwarding and storage of goods are your responsibilities. You will learn how to plan and control logistics processes. You make sure that everything runs smoothly - no matter where in the world.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Planning, organizing and controlling logistics processes? You will quickly learn what to take into account and take responsibility.
  • You will use your communication skills and your knowledge of English - in your daily work with colleagues, service providers and customers in Germany and all over the world.
  • You schedule appointments, negotiate prices and develop solutions with one goal in mind: your customers are satisfied.
  • The logistics part: you determine optimal traffic routes so that the goods reach the customer quickly.
  • The forwarding part: you fill out the freight and customs documents professionally. So that the formalities are already settled before the transport.
  • Autumn 2023 start, and after three years at the latest, you will be a professional in your field.

You should bring these qualifications with you

  • a good secondary school diploma or a (technical) university diploma;
  • good grades in mathematics, German and English;
  • the ability to communicate with clients and colleagues in a way that avoids misunderstandings - even across cultural boundaries;
  • the motivation to find solutions for the requirements of your customers and to implement them through teamwork;
  • the willingness to learn every day and to contribute to our company.
