Embraer hat im dritten Quartal 57 zivile Flugzeuge ausgeliefert und damit 33 Prozent mehr als im Vorjahr, wie das Unternehmen mitteilte. Der drittgrößte Flugzeugbauer der Welt lieferte im Quartal, das im September endete, 16 Verkehrsflugzeuge und 41 Geschäftsreiseflugzeuge aus.

Die mexikanische Flughafengruppe OMA hat einen Cyber-Angriff auf einige ihrer Systeme gemeldet. Laut Unternehmen beeinträchtigt der Vorfall den Betrieb nicht, da alternative Systeme genutzt werden. Cathay Pacific hat in Hongkong ihre neue Kabinenausstattung vorgestellt. Die neue Business Class sowie die umgerüstete Premium Economy und Economy Class sind zukünftig in der Boeing 777-300ER verbaut, wie die Airline mitteilt. Der Erstflug mit der neuen Kabine soll am 18. Oktober von Hongkong nach Peking erfolgen.
Der Flughafen Wien hat eine neue Verbindung nach China angekündigt. Ab dem 1. Dezember wird Hainan Airlines Wien mit Chengdu in der Provinz Sichuan verbinden. Wie der Airport mitteilt, bedient Hainan Airlines die Verbindung dreimal pro Woche das gesamte Jahr über.
Der Lufthansa-Konzern streicht nach eigenen Angaben alle Flüge nach Tel Aviv bis einschließlich 10. November. Bei der Tochtergesellschaft Eurowings werde die Aussetzung der Flüge bis einschließlich 30. November verlängert. Betroffene Fluggäste können kostenfrei auf ein späteres Reisedatum umbuchen oder erhalten alternativ den vollen Ticketpreis zurück.
